FAQ

Everything to know before you start adapting.

Clear answers for users comparing Koach against trackers, wearables, workout apps, traditional coaching, and generic programs.

How is Koach different from a normal fitness app?

Most apps track one piece and leave the thinking to you. Koach connects your workouts, nutrition, check-ins, recovery, and weight trend, then proposes a specific change to your plan when the data says one is needed. You approve it, and your targets actually move.

What does “adaptive” actually mean here?

On a set cadence Koach reviews how you have really been training and eating. If your weight trend or your recovery says the plan should change, it shows you the change and why. Tap Apply and your calorie target, meal plan, grocery list, and training volume update together. Nothing changes without your approval.

Can I just tell it what I did instead of tapping through menus?

Yes. Type things like “logged chicken and rice for lunch”, “move leg day to Saturday”, “swap barbell rows for dumbbell rows”, or “bump my protein to 180g”. Koach shows you exactly what it is about to change and waits for you to confirm.

Do I have to train on the same days every week?

No. You can set fixed weekdays, or a rotating cycle such as three days on and one day off. Koach runs your plan on cycle days rather than forcing everything into a seven-day week, and scales your training volume to match.

Can Koach replace a personal trainer?

For many people Koach covers the daily structure, planning, tracking, and adjustments they would expect from coaching, at a fraction of the monthly cost. It is not a substitute for medical advice or hands-on technique coaching.

Does it work for muscle gain and fat loss?

Both. Koach sets calorie and macro targets, programs progressive overload, tracks your weight trend, and adjusts as you go. You also choose your pace — steady or faster — and the projected timeline genuinely changes to match.

Is it safe if I have an injury or a bad week?

Koach has hard limits built in. Calorie targets never drop below a safe floor, flagged pain can hold back progression or pull an exercise, and illness or a run of poor recovery caps how hard it will push you. Faster pacing is refused outright, with a reason, when it is not appropriate for you.

Do I need a wearable?

No, and Koach does not currently connect to one. Your recovery score is built from your sleep, energy, and soreness check-in plus the training load Koach measures from the sessions you log.

Do I need gym experience?

No. Beginners get a generated plan, guided sessions, and an exercise library. Experienced lifters get volume tracking, PRs, estimated 1RMs, and a split catalog to pick from.

How is this different from MyFitnessPal, Fitbod, or Fitbit?

MyFitnessPal logs food. Fitbod programs workouts. Fitbit reads your wearable. Koach is the layer that puts training, nutrition, and recovery together and then changes your plan based on all three.

What do the plans cost?

Starter is $9.99/month, Pro is $19.99/month, and Elite is $34.99/month, with weekly and yearly options available too. Every plan includes personalized workouts, calorie and macro targets, food logging, progress tracking, and AI coach chat.

What is the difference between the plans?

The main differences are how much AI coaching you get per day — 10 messages on Starter, 75 on Pro, 150 on Elite — and how deep the analytics go. Pro adds weekly analytics reports, your recovery score, barcode scanning, and goal projection. Elite adds AI body-fat assessment from photos, priority support, and early access.

Why not hire a personal trainer?

Most trainers cost hundreds of dollars monthly. Many charge over $100 per hour. Appointments are limited, response times are delayed, and tracking is often manual.

Koach gives you coaching, tracking, accountability, analysis, planning, and adaptation 24 hours a day starting at only $9.99/month.

The future of coaching is not replacing coaches. It is making elite coaching accessible to everyone.
